Prayers And Lamentations Of A Thirty Something

6-1-25

I never got the apology.

The; “I’m sorry that I hurt you.”

Or the; “You didn’t deserve that.”

All I got was silence.

And maybe that hurt even worse.

Because silence doesn’t close doors.

It leaves it cracked

Just enough for your mind to wander through.

I had to build my own closure.

Out of broken sentences and question’s that never got answers.

I had to forgive someone who never asked for it and that kind of healing doesn’t come quickly.

It comes in pieces.

It comes every time I choose peace instead of trying to understand why.
